Dixie Jackson Arkansas Mission Offering
In 1914, a woman named Dixie Jackson accepted a full-time role with the Arkansas Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU). She traveled across the state, training women and championing the cause of missions in Arkansas. Her passion for reaching the lost and equipping believers led her to help establish a Week of Prayer for Arkansas Missions in 1926. Just three years later, that week included a special offering—raising over $1,000 to fund local missions efforts.
By 1935, the offering was officially named in memory of Dixie Jackson, honoring her legacy of bold faith and tireless commitment to the mission field right here at home. Today, the Dixie Jackson Arkansas Missions Offering continues that legacy. Every dollar given directly supports mission efforts that impact lostness across our state. From disaster relief and community outreach to missions discipleship and more, this offering equips Arkansas Baptists to go, serve, and share the hope of Jesus with those who need Him most.
